NYFW 2017 / FW17: Michael Costello’s Sexy Kittens

Just a spectacular and sexy show. Three additional words that I can describe about Michael Costello's runaway presentation on February 9, 2017 as part of the New York Fashion Week: The Shows:

  1. Vavaboom
  2. Divalicious
  3. Superwoman

Models with luscious Afro-style hair walking on Costello's runway showcasing trends of couture-esque wardrobes that were still true to his vision, from extravagant and dramatic sleeves and capes, to sheer-lace gowns, to deep v-neck metallic retro dresses and jumpsuits. Each piece was unique in its own way, but all still held sensuality and elegance at the same time.

Three major colors that popped from Costello's FW17 collection are white, black and silver, all in range materials of silk, laces, and metallic. I would bet money that his high-end clienteles, such as Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, or Bryce Dallas Howard, will wear some of the pieces from the runway to red carpet glitz or award shows this year.

The vibe of the event was pretty hopping despite of the snowstorm hours prior. Front-rowers included the always-so-stylish-and-adorable Care Bears (!), extraordinaire runway coach and #ANTM judge Miss J Alexander, quirky and fun fashion writer Eila Mell, and super trendy model Shaun Ross.

At the end of the presentation, the handsome Costello himself, wearing a fitted black suit, walked the runway to close the event.

I honestly did not want the show to be over; I did not want the guests to leave the venue. It was such an honor and fun experience that I will always be looking forward to Michael's upcoming projects.
